Total W-L-T record of all Games- League, Non-League, and Playoffs.
In March 2026, it was decided that the CDHSHL would split into 3 divisions (North, South & Independent). Queensbury would be the only team in the Independent Division.
Points
Each team must play every other team in their division TWICE.
Each team must play every other team outside of their division ONCE.
Point values for games INSIDE of your division are as follows:
One (1) point for a Win,
One-Half (1/2) point for a Tie,
Zero (0) points for a Loss.
Point values for games OUTSIDE of your division are as follows:
Two (2) points for a Win,
One (1) point for a Tie,
Zero (0) points for a Loss.
If Two Teams elect to play a THIRD game or a tournament game, it will be considered a
Non-League Game. There are NO POINTS awarded for Non-League Games.
There is a possible total of (20) points available; (10) opposing teams x (2) points each.
*As the only team in the Independent Division, Queensbury will play each team ONCE and follow the point value rule for games OUTSIDE of a division.

Tie-Breakers (As per CDHSHL Coaches Meetings- 9/02, 2/06, 4/12, 10/14)
Should two teams finish with identical amounts of League Game Points won, the following Tie Breakers will be used to determine the Higher Seed. (Only League Point Bearing games to be used in the following)
Head to Head points won.
League points won versus teams in the League, starting from the top of final league standings (to include Div. I & II teams), working down one team at a time.
Fewest Goals Against Average per game, versus all teams in the League (Div. I & II), starting from the top, one team at a time and working down.
Most Goals For Average per game, versus all teams in the League (Div. I & II), starting from the top, one team at a time and working down.
Coin Toss.
Capital District High School Hockey League Champions
The Team with the Highest amount of League Game Points at the end of the regular season will be declared the Capital District High School Hockey League '"Delvecchio Cup" Champions.
Should two or more teams be tied for 1st place, the above tie-breakers should be used to determine “DelVecchio Cup” Champions.
The Capital District High School Hockey League (CDHSHL) is Section 2 Hockey of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA).
